$1.4 million in cryptocurrencies was raised to help typhoon victims

Unfortunately, we often witness various natural disasters, such as the latest typhoon, which swept through the Philippines last month, completely destroying several hundred cities, injuring more than four million people, 407 of whom died and 88 are missing. However, the Yield Guild Games (YGG) community decided to organize a crypto collection to help people in need and achieved a really great result. They managed to raise up to $1.4 million.

Today, with the help of our YGG communities, managers, and friends, we are organizing relief efforts for Typhoon Odette (Rai) victims.

Luis Buenaventura, YGG’s Philippine national director, revealed that $100,000 was raised in the first hour and $300,000 at the end of the first day. Now three weeks have passed and money is constantly increasing. Yesterday, we raised more than $1.4 million through donations from the crypto community alone, Buenaventura added. In the end, he added that the typhoon had destroyed more than 55,000 homes, so they still have a very long way to go.
