As we have mentioned more and more, cryptocurrencies are becoming more and more popular all over the world and Latin America is no exception, and a great example is Brazil, where the largest Brazilian investment bank BTG Pactual has decided to launch its own cryptocurrency trading platform called Mynt. Competing bank XP also decided to take the same steps, which also launched its own platform on the same day as BTG Pactual, thus joining other competing banks that already support cryptocurrency trading.
However, at the moment the Mynt platform does not yet allow withdrawals or deposits of digital assets, and the same is true of XP. Head of Digital Assets André Portilha also commented on this for BTC Pactual, who said: “We are working on this feature. In weeks or months, we plan to release.” As usual, with its growing popularity, the Brazilian government has decided to focus heavily on regulating the crypto market. In addition, the Brazilian Senate passed a law on the regulation of crypto transactions, with the central bank being the regulatory body for the crypto sector.
