El Salvador plans to organize a gigantic Bitcoin airdrop

You may have already received information that the President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, has officially presented a plan in which the government wants to get their government BTC wallet called “Chivo” used by as many people as possible. This wallet will be available to all citizens in the country and thanks to that, paying with BTC will be very easy, so we can see that El Salvador is really serious about integrating Bitcoin into everyday life.

This step was appreciated by several celebrities in the crypto sector, such as the founder of Binance, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), who likes the idea that several million more people will be added to the crypto ecosystem in a relatively very simple way. However, it is certainly appropriate to ask how the government wants to motivate citizens to start using this wallet, as in the current vaccination campaign around the world we can see that some countries are forced to do lotteries or give away cars. In this case, El Salvador has decided to donate $30 in BTC to anyone who starts using the government BTC wallet. With more than 4.2 million adults living in the country, the government will distribute more than $126 million in the airdrop.
