El Salvador successfully mined the first bitcoins using energy from the volcano

Today we have another great news from the crypto world, specifically from El Salvador, and we have learned that this country has successfully mined the first bitcoins using geothermal energy from the volcano. This historic success was announced by President Nayib Bukele himself, who has been a huge fan of cryptocurrencies for a while now, through his Twitter account. After all, it is he who is behind the nationwide experiment with cryptocurrencies. Using geothermal energy, El Salvador has so far managed to mined crypto worth a total of about $500, according to CNBC.

President Nayib Bukele also promised to try to mine, even more, announcing in June that he would like to mine BTC in a sustainable way, without waste and also in the form of clean energy, which was understandably welcomed by the whole world. This is why they use geothermal energy from local volcanoes, thus avoiding emissions. They also nickname El Salvador through a volcanic landscape and obtain up to a quarter of their energy from this natural source. It should also be remembered that the country is the first in the world to adopt bitcoin as its official currency.
