The latest hackers attacked the Bitmart crypto exchange, where they managed to steal $ 196 million in tokens. This was also confirmed by the company dealing with blockchain analyzes, while the official statement of this exchange states that Bitmart has experienced a serious security breach. The hackers managed to steal about 20 different cryptocurrencies, including Binance Coin, Safemoon, Shiba Inu, and others.
According to official figures, the attackers managed to steal $ 100 million from the Ethereum network and $ 96 million from the Binance Smart Chain network. The way in which the hackers have succeeded is still unclear, but in the meantime, the exchange has announced the temporary suspension of all withdrawals until the necessary measures and controls are in place in this regard. Such an attack, of course, casts a bad light on the entire crypto industry, and much of the crypto community is understandably concerned about this attack. Therefore, be careful on which stock exchange you trade.
