The United States bans all its athletes from using the digital yuan at the Beijing Olympics

As we have informed you several times, China has been working on its CBDC for a long time, the digital currency of the central bank called the digital yuan. China wants to launch this official national digital currency just before the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022, but the world’s first calls for people not to use the currency are already coming. Specifically, it is the United States that is urging all its athletes not to use the digital yuan at the Beijing Olympics under any circumstances.

Three US senators, namely Marsha Blackburn, Roger Wicker and Cynthia Lummis, are concerned about the Chinese Communist government’s plans and point out that thanks to this digital currency, the Chinese government will be able to monitor you and know everything you have ever bought, also when you bought it, where you bought it and especially who bought it. This is literally the end of a free life in China, and the government will know literally everything about you as long as you have a wallet for the mentioned digital yuan in your smartphone.

Of course, China has objected to this by saying that their efforts are focused purely on the digitization of banknotes and coins. US senators also recall the WeChat application, which works more to monitor, threaten and arrest Chinese citizens.
